Respectfully, I call BS on this one!
I actually own an Opel GT made for the Italian market and originally sold in Italy. But my Opel GT was made in the same manner as the rest, body was manufactured in France and final assembly was in Germany. An Opel GT for the Italian market would have clear turn signals (the banana shaped lense), clear driving lights (or white inserts) and amber colored repeater lights just in front of the Opel GT insignia on each front fender, and no rear side markers. Also it would likely be equipped with the factory sway bars and an electric windshield washer pump. This car has none of those telltale signs that I can see. So, I would say the "made in Italy" claim is quite suspect. It looks like a regular '69 "GT Metallic Green" Opel GT sold by Buick in the good ol' U.S.A. That doesn't mean the car is not worth buying... just don't pay a premium unless the seller's amazing claim can be backed up... or er...substantiated.

four slot rims were standard for all 68-70 GT's
Yes, a '69 Opel GT for the Italian market should have standard 4 slot rims from the factory. That rear wheel looks like a rim that came with the base model Manta/1900 (and is missing the hubcap). The GT in question also has a radio antennae in the same location as U.S.A. market GT's. My understanding is that European GT's had their radios installed by the dealer or aftermarket (Usually Blaupunkt, but never Delco AM). As a result their front fenders did not have a hole for the antennea, and you often see the antenna mounted elsewhere. My Italian market GT has the antenae mounted on the driver's side rear fender. Other things to look for if you get a close look are the KPH speedometer, no emissions control device (and no metal plate certifying compliance with U.S. emissions control standards), halogen headlights, non-laminated windshield, high compression "H" cylinder head, and possibly the optional limited-slip differential.

Wrong Country!
The first GTs were assembled in FRANCE - where the bodies and interior was done. The very early, pre-production ones were put together there to check the fit of everything - in 1968.
Production GTs after that had bodies made and painted in France then shipped to Germany for the running gear to be fitted.

1000 to much?. nah thats cheap for a rare car like this. chevettes are selling for more than that.
i find that very odd for a mini super car like this thats really made in france. and each and every year prob without fail there is less of them. i look for these cars to hit a critical mass where they really start going up fast in price withing the next 20 to 25 years. no prob. id buy it without even blinking for that price. as long as it had an engine and a good frame. like mine does.
