RHD GT on EBay.UK
A real nice GT is listed on Ebay - not mine BTW!
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...ADME:B:EF:UK:1 Here is the Summary: Here we have for sale my beautiful right hand drive Opel GT. I believe it is unique. It took me 2 years to complete and is only now for sale as I am restoring another GT.The paintwork can only be described as rust free and immaculate, as is the interior. The engine is a fuel injected 2.0 ohc 8v unit running through a 4 speed automatic box with switchable sport mode.It drives very well indeed (much better than an original example). It has a custom-made stainless steel exhaust system with a lifetime warranty. The chassis is all original and has never been welded - and will never need any as it is waxoiled. The car gets an amazing amount of interest wherever it goes and has been displayed at the NEC Classic Car show twice.I will be very sorry indeed to see her go.Viewing is recommended. If you want to own a right hand drive Opel GT, here is your opportunity. You may never get another chance to do so.The car has a buy it now price of £7000, which is £2000 below the GT club valuation.I reserve the right to withdraw the car from auction as it is advertised elsewhere. Good luck and happy bidding. and a couple of pics: |

That is pretty neat. I am asuming this is a homebrew? Opel didn't make any like this, did they? The Dash looks totally custom, but it is hard to tell from the photo.

RHD Opel Gt
:mad1: all the right hand drive conversions i've seen use triumph herold dashes and have looked fair to good, cant place that one though
the engine is 130 bhp out of the box and opel. Baz is right, the first RHD GT had an Triumph Dash. The restorer of this vehicles 1st attempt, was from a Rover SD 1 and the suspension was Spring over Shocks as opposed to the leaf-spring set up. Having lived in Germany for the last 7 years I do not know a lot about his latest venture however, Jim is a man of many talents, Master Carpenter and Pattern Maker and I believe Jim designed this Dash himself.

Disclaimer!
This car has been built by a "Jim" even more talented than me!
He is from the UK and has done a magnificent job. I just noticed it on EBay - after Rionart did! Sorry for the dual thread, Baz, and thanks for merging them. |
