Is there a GT with 96 original miles ?

Hi Jim, I recall there being some discussion at this site once about a GT that has never left a Buick dealer's showroom. Does anybody else remember that? Apparently it racked up so many miles from being pushed around when they had to mop the floor...
I think there were pictures of it even.
Just did a search using keyword "showroom" and find the posts about it in a thread called "a brand new 73 GT with 106 miles on it".
Taylor Motors, according to Rangerrick's post. I didn't dig very deep through the thread for details.

that would be the GT that was bought by now OpelGT.com member Fly Boy. Tis a beautiful GT and reminds us all of what they used to be new. There are a few nice threads about his car on here, such as having to replace gaskets and other rubber after 30+ years of sitting idle. But, to answer your question; Yes. There WAS such a thing. But I am willing to bet there are a few more miles on it now.

Jim, I think this is the car you may have heard about. As far as I know, it is still at the dealership in KY.

Ive got a clipping of a GT that was for sale a couple of years ago in a vehicle trader that had 1150 origional miles on it. It is a 73 model, absolutly beautiful.
Asking $22,500 for it.
If only......

Rumor has it that there is a GT and a Manta wagon up in Potsdam, NY along with numerous Buick model cars in a heated storage barn. Every single one still has the bill of sale and has never been registered, including those Opels.

The owner of the dealership did this years ago and the store closed down about 15 years ago.

Here's a link to a picture in the gallery of one of our members cars. At the time this picture was taken it had 1139 miles on it. When I saw it at the Autofair it had 1150 miles on it.
