Unanswered: '69 GT Rear lens colors.

Just a quick question. Did the '69 GT come with 4 rear red lens or 2 red and 2 yellow. Mine had 4 when i got it but all the pictures i've seen have 2 of each.

Thanks in advance

Bo

Yep - 2 X 2

Bo,

Two red and two yellow - the indicators are yellow!

You will see the difference between the reflectors for which is which - indicators have one single filament bulb - of course. Usually fitted to the outer position I think!

The exceptionis the late 1973 model which has the same tail lights as the Manta (they must have run out of GT lenses at the factory!) One red tail lamp with a back-up clear bit in the middle and one "half-and-half" red/yellow Tail lamp/indicator.

4 reds look too much like a vette. if i wanted a vette i'd have bought one. the yellow/red lookes more european like a ferrari or lotus

4 split

Of course if you're GT is one of my old ones it'll have 4 of the Manta-style split red and amber lenses on the back. I like the look of all 4 being the same, but I also like amber turn signals, and having an extra set of lights in the back just makes for better visability, right?
