Hello All,
I came across a great potential purchase of an Opel in the Portland, Oregon area. I am looking for a daily driver and this one seems to fit the bill. It is in great condition, and the price is relatively fair. One holdup, I am having difficulty finding a mechanic who specializes in either Opels or similar cars who can give me a full rundown of what needs to be done to the car. Also, it would be good to have a mechanic for any future problems.
If anyone knows of a good mechanic in the Portland, Oregon or surrounding areas, who knows their way around an Opel, I would greatly appreciate some contact info. I am new to this discussion board, and I look forward to participation in the future.
Thanks All,
pjjsIII

pjjsIII,
Welcome to the club. I live in Hillsboro, Oregon myself, and I'm in the middle of restoring a '73 GT. So, if you get the car, and you're ever nearby in it, stop by and we can talk shop. Is the car a GT? I'm not a mechanic, but I've done my share of wrench turning in my time, so I'd be glad to at least give you a dollars worth of free advice. Of course, this site and the people on it are the best resource you'll ever find for Opel info. Don't know how I survived without it when I had my first 2 GTs backin the day.
Good Luck,
Randy
