    new here, just wanted to say hi

    new member, i dont own an opel as of now but would like to in the future. figured i would join and get some tips and info before i went looking for one.

    It would help us, to help you, if we knew what model (GT, Manta, Sportwagon, Sedan, Kadett) that you had in mind. Also what State you're located. But, Welcome to the Opel World!

    welcome Xenophobe! There's a ton of informed owners here. When your ready to start looking or have specific questions when buying you'll have plenty of responses to weed thru.

    We also have a myrid of expert users from electrical to mechanical to racing to restoration on board too!

    sorry about that.. i was thinking about buying a GT, and im in central ohio.

    its going to be awhile before i go out and buy one, because i need to get rid of my nova first. after that i can start looking.

    thats just what i wanted to hear.

    the first questions would be about racing, ie suspention and brakes. then later possible engine swaps, opel or other that could give it some more kick.

    Welcome aboard Xenophobe, to get the best GT you can check out Charles Goin's Opel GT Pricing Guide.txt on another egroups web page.

    Charles is one of the gurus of the classic Opel world. Many of our questions have often enough been answered by people like Charles, Garry, Keith and many others many times before. Use the serch function to get the 411 it works very well. Our cars a 30yrs old, I think everything has been done before. You just gotta search for it.
