No Opel GT yet

I first found an Opel GT around '01. Really just stumbled upon the car. Called the phone number on the windshield and the guy said $100. At that time the car had been sitting since the mid '80s. I'm not sure why I didn't buy it, but I plan on it this weekend if the car is still there. My wife shot down the idea of me getting a Mustang GT, so I told her that if she says no, I'm buying a project car

You need to nip that in the bud! I bet she doesn't ask you when she wants something, she tells you. I would, in a nice way, just tell her what you are going to do, then do it. Be a man!

I did tell her, and told her again tonight. The first time she didn't really believe me. Now tonight I told her that I was getting a car this Fri, depending on whether the car is still there and if I get a trailer, she starting fussing about it, like she does with everything else

I always found it easier to beg for forgiveness than to ask for permission...maybe thats why im not married anymore.

Bring your wife to Augustino's Rock and Roll Deli in Carol Stream and let her see an Opel Up Close. It may just change her mind.

I know exactly where that is! Not far from me at all. I live up off Army Trl in Carol Stream, and I work on Roosevelt in Wheaton. She does like Augustino's sandwiches...

This is an option! I doubt she'd go for it, since she has this thing that if the car is more than a few years old its garbage mentality, unless its a tuner car
