Manta A owner from Sweden

Hi !

Here is another swedish guy with Opels in my veins !
I own 2 Manta A´s, one Ascona B and one Omega B.

I´m most into racing, I use to go to trackdays, but have a
past in rallying.
I have put some pictures in the members photos.

Very nice work on the Manta A. Are you racing in the 1/4 mile or on an oval or road course? What year model are the Mantas?

Hi David !

The red/orange one is a -73. From the beginning a 1.6L manual.
Today its modified with a 2.4L, Getrag 265, M3 clutch.
Roadholding is improved with lower/harder springs and schocks,
nylon/poly buschings everywere, 75% LSD, short steering....
With this car I usuly go racing on road cource, mostly trackdays. I have allso tried 1/4-mile and drifting, but just for fun !
This car will be restored to original in the future.

The yellow one in the pictures are a -72 1.9 Automatic.
It was in bad shape, with much rust so I desided to make a
all out racecar. It will have a totaly rebuild rear end with a volvo 1031
LSD 4.10 axle and Sellholm coilovers in 4-link.
The whole drivetrain will be moved about 6" backwards.
There gonna be a full rollcage to the FIA (EU)regulations.
