If everything seems to be going well you have obviously overlooked something.

I lived in Chireno for a year and moved back here to Austin about a year and a half ago. I spent a lot of time in San Augustine working for Dish Network.
If you ever drove 21 to Nacogdoches, you drove right by my house. I had no garage so my GT sat out in the yard under a car cover. I don't know how many people stopped to ask what was under that cover. We lived just the other side of Chireno on the right in an old farm house. I actually hosted an Opel meet at my house.

There were three GT's there...all yellow.
Welcome to the group.
If you haven't already, join texasopel : Opel Club of Texas, OMC. That is where we discuss out meetings.

East TX is another story. It rains a LOT there and is very fertile. If things are left alone for too long (cars or houses!) nature will reclaim them. Not uncommon to see trees growing inside of abandoned houses or vehicles out there. As well as covered by vines.
There was an old farm truck on the farm that I was on. Don't know how long it sat there, but the floorboards had about a foot of mouse/rat droppings. No kidding. You could not see the transmission tunnel it was so deep. There was a tree that was growing up between the bumper and the body and it was pushing it's way through.
