I'm here for my dad
My name is Cory, i'm 20, live in Wilmington NC, i own a 2001 Audi TT (my baby), 2000 toyota celica (daily driver), and a 1994 mitsubishi 3000gt that i'm fixing up. Ever since i was a kid my dad has talked about this one car that he was so sad that he traded for a mini van (start a family of course). Said how it was red, quick, had really cool headlights that flipped sideways... can you guess what car this is?! that's right, it was an opel gt. and i want to get him one. I hope you guys can help me out. I'm not a newb to forums so don't treat me like one. I'll respect all of you and help out with what i know too (which isn't much haha) thanks! i'll be surfin around here askin questions and readin. |

haha, i work a lot. The TT was my dream car and i had a good chance, the celica i bought a year ago cause it was the car i could afford. the mitsubishi i picked up for cheap and is my project till i sell it for the opel.
i actually live in NC, he lives up in NY. It's a present for him, i want to give him a car that is in good shape so he can take care of her and drive it off the getgo. Not have to put more money into a car. it's like buying a kid a candybar sealed in 100 bags. |

You're welcome.
Make sure to check the rocker panels and the belly pan for rust. Oh, and under the driver and passenger floor panels. Other than those caution points, it sounds like that might be a good car.

Stick shift or not, your dad would love that car.
The only thing that would concern me would be filling it with gas. It looks like the spoiler is in the way of the gas cap.

It's red and looks to be a good deal. However, just depends if your Dad likes the front and rear spoiler. You know us old guys kind of like the way things were. Says it needs some TLC, but looks really good for that price. Check it out. If he doesn't like it, then it just might be meant for you.

It looks as low as most
There was only one body style of GT (for the most part) in the style you are looking for. Though there were small changes, the body itself stayed the same. That one has a front and rear spoiler added. From the two pictures showing it looks straight. If it did win awards then it must be a pretty nice car.
