I don't know, off hand, where you could get another head but I will give you advice that was given to me.
When you replace the head, make the modification to the head gasket to keep it from cracking again in the future. Here is a link to the post that explains it all http://www.opelgt.com/forums/6b-cool...tml#post183464

Change the thread title to "Need a head in TN" or put out an ad in the wanted section.
Mod edit: Title changed

I have two heads at the machine shop to be checked for cracks and could take another one tomorrow. The machine shop I use is in Nashville (1 hr. away) so I don't go often. I may have one that is ready to bolt on. It looks like it has been machined to me and a fresh valve job done with no miles on it. I might even be able to come up with a head gasket or two. ![]() I'm in Mid. TN south of Nashville. PM me or email me: haroldc(at)united.net Harold Last edited by hrcollinsjr; 02-17-2009 at 08:40 AM. There were two different 4 bearing heads available, early style and the later style with extra bolt holes in an attempt to improve sealing to the timing cover.
You might try Killer GT (TX) here on the forum as he appears to be trying to become a full time Opel parts supplier. ![]() Harold |

I have about 7 heads 30 miles away from you, but not really one ready to go on. Harold has some being checked at a machine shop already and its good to know if the head is good first. Don't for get to get a head gasket set, or at least the head gasket
