Greetings from Toronto
I've been lurking around the site for a few weeks now. Best site in NA for Opels. Having had one back in Europe, I got the bug again to acquire one in Canada. If anyone knows a rolling project in a Toronto area- one that doesn't require a second mortgage- please contact me. Willing to travel, cosmetics aren't important. The site is great, looking fwd. to nearby gatherings. Levy |

Thanks guys.
Vanderkrol, I know of all three cars. The red('71) car is truly nice, however it is out of my budget. The yelow car is fairly expensive, for what it is. The other, black ('71)one needs a total restauration. Rionart, yes, I am seeking a GT. What I would like to find is a drivable restauration project, with hopefully minimal rust and OK mechanics. Currently have no garage, so car has to be mobile. I would love to talk Opel with you, how can I contact? Later |

The red GT is (or was) Graham Ridley's car, which was documented a bit here on OGT.com a few years ago. IIRC, it was pretty rusty when he got it, but he enlisted a high school to do the body work and they pretty much cut out all the rust and did a very nice job. He used to live in Ottawa, so either he moved or it was bought by someone else, although the photos are the same as I recall Graham posting. The seller says he is willing to negotiate, so I would start with that car and try to make it "affordable". It will almost certainly cost more than that to make a similar GT. If you think otherwise, I would dare to suggest that you stand to be corrected.
