Have kind of a different story here. My dad bought a GT out of a junkyard about 8 years ago for us to attempt to restore. It was just something out of the junkyard that the owner said ran when it was put down. The first couple year we got a lot done. Fixed up almost all of the holes in the body added a body kit and got the engine rebuilt and made into a 2.0. Then i went to college and the project got put on hold. Just recently i have started working on it again after it sat for almost 3 years. Right now we are dealing with some carb issues but we should have it running soon.

Looks like you're going to have a nice one once it's done. Interesting how you're doing the headlights.
