GT on its way...

Just picked up a '73 GT. Should be here in a week or so. My dad had a 70 GT, and after that a 72 Rallye.

Selling my 305HP 96 Mystic Cobra for this project. I wanted something even more unusual to play with. Hope to do some suspension mods, brake upgrade / larger wheels while restoring what bits haven't already been done.

Welcome!!! You will find that nearly any question you can think up about a GT (and many about all of the other opels ) has already been answered in the forums, hence why the search function is so valuable.

I live in DC and there are a couple of other members in the area, all of whom are *probably* plenty willing to help get you on your way to having a great GT.

Welcome to the forum. I too am fairly new, but have found the folks here extremely willing to share their Opel knowelge and very helpful. As was mentioned earlier, use the search function up top and you will typically find past discussions relating to your questions. This allows folks like you and me to get some the oft asked questions answered w/o starting a new discussion on an old topics.

Thanks!. Micah1 mentioned you and your car - I hear it's a nice one! Hoping we can get together some time before Carlisle...or *at* Carlisle. I'm planning to have the car 100% (couple of electrical gremlins and some interior work) and get rally stripes painted on it before then. Probably won't start the heavy lifting until next fall - 1.9L high compression build, Getrag 5 speed, big brakes, and suspension.
