Newbie Opel Nut

Hi all joined a little while ago and guess it's time I introduced myself and my cars.

I live in Lincoln, UK and have currently got eight cars, seven of which are Vauxhall/Opel.

Got a 71 GT, 72 Manta A, 83 Monza, 86 Manta hatch, 94 Carlton Diamond 24v and a 75 Marina Suntor (it needed someone to love it!) Also got a Monza GSE for spares and a Calibra turbo donor car.

So here they are..

Opel GT

Manta A

Monza

Manta Hatch

Carlton

Suntor (if you're interested...)

Nice collection, and welcome to the site. Too bad we didn't get any of the nice Wagon models you got, especially like the Omega (Cadillac Catera in the US)

I didn't now what a Suntor was but now that I see it, the Starsky and Hutch movie comes to mind.

Ha ha! Yeah it's based on a crappy commercial van that was itself based on a terrible 70's british car. Don't think there's many left these days. Can't imagine why...

Hi Graham,

Well done for finding this site too, a huge amount of GT knowledge is on here, so make sure you pick peoples brains.

I like the mix of Opel / Vauxhalls in your collection......the Diamonds probably one of the rarest cars, crazy as it's one of the newest.

Did you buy your GT from Kevin Finney?

Hope we get the chance to meet up soon.

Cheers all

Good to meet you Mark, can't believe there's another GT owner so close, especially one with all those spares!

Cheers for the steering column, haven't summoned up the courage to swap the control ring yet, wil let you know how it goes though!

Good to meet you too......i'm sure you'll have loads of fun with the steering column.

Would you believe if i said that there's even another one in the Lincs area? Martyn phoned me up the next day to say there was one for sale in this weeks classic car weekly!
