Born Again Opeler

Hello all.

I have been a long time lurker here in the forums. I owned a Silver/Red 69 GT back in the day and have now hopped back on the Opel train. It has been 15 years!

I just purchased a 72 GT from a fellow board member here (greenopelgt) and I must say, I forgot how much I missed my 69!

Say hello to Gracie!

That's called remission. Seems the bug has resurfaced. Nice looking GT! Tom knows his stuff, so I'm sure it runs as nice as it looks.

Lurker?

There's no such thing as a lurker, at least not permanently. It's just a temporary state of control, until you surrender to "the force" and once again become one with the Opel universe.

Welcome!

We have a fairly active group here in NE Ohio. Also the Kahlerts are in Springfield, OH. We usually have several meets per year, two at our house here in Tallmadge (one in July and one in February) and one at The Kahlerts (in October). We also caravan to larger Opel meets together (Carlisle, Charlotte and Springfield, IL). We always post here on site before the events. Glad to have another Ohio Opeler on board. Hope you will join us.

The more Ohioans the merrier. If you need help with anything there are tons of nice people in the area to lend a hand.

My welcome to Turboair

Ladies and Gentlemen,
Turboair told me at age 14 years he began his in-depth research, study and hands-on education of the 1969 Opel GT (Silver/Red rare combo) that he was to be primary driver at age 16. He says he intends to take the basic 1972 Opel GT daily driver and over the next couple of years make upgrades and yet keep her as much stock as possible. Also, he has roots and current family up around the Saxybiker area. I am so glad a person with the knowledge and experience with an Opel and several other cars purchased the 1972 GT. I know she is in very, very good hands. Now my search continues for another Opel to pass on to a worthy Opel friend like Turboair.

Hey that is great! Turboair, when you are up visiting family, let us know. We would love to have you come over and check out our Opel collection and get to meet you. PM us and we will give you phone numbers.

Looking forward to meeting you!
