Kadett in New Zealand

Hello in Norway!
I have a 1967 Kadett Rallye 1.1L and it has discs on the front from the factory,
Looked at fitting later 1.9L Kadett/GT discs but they have a different caliper mounting size.
I think the Kadett 1.1L drum brakes have a different spindle to the disc brake suspension. Different numbers in the Parts Book.
You may be able to fit front discs by changing to the disc brake front spindles (or "knuckle" as Opel calls it) complete with the calipers from a later Kadett or GT. Possibly the complete front suspension from a later Kadett (1967-73) with disc brakes.
Any front disc/hub from 1967-73 for a Kadett/GT/Manta will fit on to the disc brake spindle but only the correct caliper for the particular spindle will fit.

Since you want to swap from drums to discs, you need the spindles anyway. Find any model Kadett B or GT (1.1 - 1.9) with front disc brakes, and convert them over. Don't forget to also convert the master cylinder to one from a Kadett B with a power booster - your original non-booster MC will NOT work with front discs!

Bit hard to answer - very few of us have Kadett 'A's
But by the look of the Parts Book the upper 'A'-arm of the suspension is much the same but the lower 'A'-arm has a different part number.

Try and see if you can find a complete later Kadett 'B' 1.1 litre front suspension to look at - maybe quite a lot of it can be interchanged to get the later disc brake spindles and disc set-up. I know the 1.9L Kadett and GT are different but can be interchanged in toto with the "B" parts.

NO. You probably can make it work, but it's not a direct bolt-on.

Since the original poster ThomasMU is in Norway, he also has good chances of finding a Kadett 1.2. In that case, I would consider buying the complete 1.2 and swap out the 60HP engine with the brakes.
