Auto 1.9L ... with Roof Rack
Aaaaaaargh!
Torture me! Pitty about the big bit of water between here and there plus the fact I cannot import a LHD car until I have owned it for 1 year and one day overseas. This has to be a real deal for someone over there - what a winter project ... polish it and drive it to the next carlisle Meet!

I have always liked the look of the Kadett wagons!
I would buy it, if you were closer than 2,500 miles away! That would be a great car for doing small part deliveries for my shop. How much to truck from CA to FL? Lyle |

Hey Lyle, you could do what I did one year. My last tour to SEA I had to go to school at McDill AFB, near Tampa, FL. I drove from inSANe DIEGO in my new 71 Dodge van. Left home, Thursday and arrived in Tampa on Saturday, piece of cake. Of course I was a lot younger and more foolish them too.

I got lucky when I bought the Senator. I found a shipping company that had an empty spot on a trailer that was leaving in 2 days and was going from LA to Boston. Cost was something like $595. Other quotes I got were $1,000 to $1,200. Do a google on "auto transport LA to FL".
Here's a link to a pic of the wagon at OMC 2005: http://www.opelgt.com/photos/showpho.../6478/cat/3115 |
