Hey you guys around RI, has anyone checked out this Kadett? Looks pretty good:

It does look nice.

Its the same model of car our family had when we lived over in Germany in 1970 except ours was Copper Bronze and did not have any black trim like this one does.

If it was for sale closer to me I would probably bid on it.

Its 1.9L motor should get it anywhere - buy and drive home!

Not a 'Rallye' despite the blacked out hood ... but nice, all the same.

Appears to be in very good shape body-wise, plus it's a Luxus, higher end version, as Tom mentioned in the thread title. I must say that I was never very interested in Kadetts, even though our GTs are basically just reskinned versions of them. I must also say that I've really grown to like my '69 LS . . . they grow on you!

Yeah, GLOSS black hood paint (true Rallye was matte/flat black) and Luxus designation are dead give-aways!

Bet it doesn't have the most overlooked "true" Kadett Rallye item either . . . same windshield washer footpump with momentary, "single-wipe", wiper switch as the GT! Those weren't even offered in the L or LS models, but were standard in all Rallyes.

Well, welcome to the group . . . excellent first Opel! As you'll soon enough discover, the emphasis is definitely on first . . . they grow on you and seem to miraculously multiply over time!!

Thanks For The Kind Welcome, Actually It's Not My First Opel,i Also Have A 1969 Kadett 1.1sr In Need Of Restoration.iv'e Had It Since I Was In High School,i Loved That Car! What Can You Tell Me About Opels Unlimited In Calif As A Source For Parts? I Have Had Limited Dealings With Them And Have Some Reservations For Various Reasons.

OK, so how about some more pics . . . underhood (my favorite), interior, etc. . . . while you're at it, how about some some pics of the 1.1 as well, especially underhood!
