Unanswered: Kadett Rallye Steering Questions for Gurus?

This is a question for the people that REALLY know the Kadetts.

Going thru the parts book, I found that the 67 1/2 thru 70 Kadett Rallyes had a different steering rack pinion. Anyone have any knowledge of what makes it different? Stronger? Quicker? The rack is the same, 23 or 25 teeth, but the pinion difference is not specified.

Also, the rear coils are listed as "Heavy Duty" for 69-70.
The front spring is 68-70 1.5-1.9 Rallye and 68-71 station wagon (model 39 in 71-72).

The Rallyes have a more direct steering - less revolutions of the steering wheel from full left to full right.

The input shaft is different

Also the input shaft is different, The kadett rallye has a 2 bolt flange that is mounted to steel spring shims(circle shaped) and very thin like the headlight shims. It is mounted to this ring with two rivets. Then another flange is mounted to the steel circle. The GT has a U-joint here. I have an NOS input for the Kadett-although there is no metal ring attached(they call these rag joints on muscle cars as their's were similar, but used belted rubber as the ring to flex and isolate instead of the steel ring like in the kadett)
If you need pics-I could get some-too bad I torched mine on accident

Hmmm

Obviously I didn't read this question right. I see that the standard Kadett and the Rallye have a different rack, Dieter is probably right. I need to check my NOS pinion to find if it matches or not to the Rallye.
