Sunroof for Kadett

Does anyone have any experience or own a Kadett with factory steel sunroof? I have aquired one and wish to ask questions, like can seals be substituted, and cables remade if needed? Any help and pictures especially would be nice. Will keep you posted on mine later

The original Opel sun roofs are 'fun' - my Monza has a similar type with cables and an electric motor to open it. The seals are purpose made and very hard to find - they leaked from new too!

I scored a couple of Webasto NOS sun roofs for my Kadett - much simpler and just fit into a hole cut in the roof with a catch that allows them to open at the rear side.

i cannot help you with the cables though. i do know someone who has the factory sunroof in his kiemen-coup B. Any questions i could direct to him...
