![]() Kadett A I think not many left in the US. 1000cc, not very fast (75mph) , but great miles/gal,...and fun to drive !! ![]() (no airbag, safety belts, and all the heavy fuel wasting features,...-- die like a gentleman ) Last edited by tekenaar; 08-11-2008 at 10:48 AM. |

I was just looking at that auction and came over to see if anyone had commented on it.
It's a cool old car, (love the embossed blitz in the door panel, so clean) but I hope old Opels don't get so expensive that people can no longer enjoy them inexpensively. That said, it's in remarkable shape and considering the cost to restore one to that shape (without original paint and bodywork), would be in the ballpark. I spent a lot for my Manta but was able to drive it anywhere after one day spent tuning it, going over it and changing all the fluids. The last three years have been nothing but driving fun. Opel GT-de, just curious, what do you think a car like this would bring in Germany? Jim

![]() I was gonna ask the seller to post some shots of the engine bay, but since I (regrettably) don't have room for this little car, I didn't want to pester the guy. Still...only 2 hours away. ![]() Ron in Indy |
