Unanswered: Kadett Window Sticker

Will soon be having our just purchased 1967 Kadett Rallye 1.1 delivered out to us. A southern Cal car so it probably has never seen snow like we've got here. Couple pics attached.
In readiness, I picked up an Opel service manual for the 66-67 Kadett B and found a little bonus inside. Along with an owner's manual there was also a Kadett window sticker for Vin# 31 1070584 2 dr. sedan which was delivered to Stephen's Buick Co. in Minneapolis Minn.
The Delco battery warranty card was registered to a Mr. Linkert of Minneapolis.
Options were ;Heavy duty battery, co-driver's seat adj., oversize blackwall tires, and hinged rear quarter windows. Total with transportation charges...$1847.12.

That vin doesn't belong to any of our Opels on the site, does it? Be pretty cool if it did!

Thanks Tom. Interior needs to be gone through and a little rust behind the right rear wheel (hopefully the rest of the upper paint is nice enough that I can just have the black shot under the lower chrome all around the car after getting that fixed) and get the hood and stripes re-applied to the car. If we can get it presentable it should be in Springfield this year!

Cute Kadett, Gordy! Is that light green or cream color? A bit hard to tell.

Was that the car that was at Opel Jim's? It was a really clean car. All it needed was some elbow grease and a few small parts. Good score on a nice car. I was lucky enough to see and hear it. Nice to see it go to someone that will appreciate it.

According to my 67 Sales Brochure the color of the car is Bamboo Yellow. Yes, it is the car that Opel Jim had set me up with. I will say that it was very pleasant dealing with Jim from USA Opel. Even hard to find parts for this 1967 (NOS parts- switches etc.) as well as the carpeting he is offering are all coming my way as well. Thanks Jim!

Great story about the window sticker, and awesome Kadett! I really like the rear window and roofline of these "gill" coupes. Nice buy, Gordy!!

Hinged rear windows were optional? I've never seen a Kadett with non-hinged rear windows (unless you count the ones that aren't "hinged" because the hinges have separated from the window..)

We (Jim Petzold and I ) are very happy that you are taking this 67 Kadett and
restoring it. It is a pleasure doing business with you.

I will have the Kadett ready to go 01 26 or 01 27 as those are the 2 days the transport company was scheduled to pick it up.

Thanks also for all the spare GT parts you have ordered they will be in the trunk along with all the Kadett parts (except the 2 spare front seats, they will be laid on the rear seat) Your receipts will be in the box too.

All the best to you and your family. It will be fun to see what you have done
when it is restored.

My 1970 Kadett is almost finished see attached pics

Great looking little wagon Jim. My first Opel was a 1970 Kadett wagon about the same color (copper ish color I think with black interior. Had 'em ever since (but wouldn't mind still having the 67 Chevelle SS 396 that I traded in on the Opel as well!).

Got going thru the Kadett a little more today. It is a real solid car...floors are real good, all the parts up around the headlights behind the grill show no rust, even the battery box is solid.
Figured out how to get the dash pad off (there was 1 little paragraph in the FSM). That will need some work. Tested the wiper motor, that is good. Pulled the insturment panel out and happy to see the wiring isn't butchered. Need to find some heater control cables because they are nonexistant.
Yanked out a bunch of after market junk that went to a radio, digital clock, French custom steering wheel and adapter (that's actually kind of interesting in an E Bay kind of way), worthless radio went bye-bye, etc.
Took the grille and headlamp trim out and cleaned and painted them and got the correct fog lights at least mounted (wiring will happen when I get thru the dash a little more).
It's starting to look a little more like a Kadett inside!

My first Kadette was a wagon (actually, it was my Mom's) but i learned to drive on it. I would like to find a wagon like that. great work.
