G'Day !
Hello Simon,
Have you tried the Parts Department at your local GM Holden dealer and asked to see the exploded illustration in the LeMans parts book? That should show all the parts and how they fit together. Sorry, but all my Opels are "old" Cam-In-Head ones - never had a LeMans.

I had to remove the winding mechanism in my FRONT door of a 1990 Pontiac LeMans. I remember I had to drill out 2 or 3 rivets to remove it. I used small nuts and bolts to reattach it. As for the glass...it lays in a horizontal metal channel attached to the winding mechanism, and two screws at opposite ends put pressure at the bottom of the glass. As far as I can remember..to replace the glass all you have to do is remove the door upholstery and untighten those two screws in the channel where the glass goes in.
