Documented Matts' early 70 Manta while in Seattle. Built in September of 1970 Love to have Rainer correct anything I say here that maybe wrong or let us know where the build of this one comes in at. One thing "missing" was exhaust went out the standard driver side. Edwin in Atlanta who...

Opels Unlimited is out of stock and I don't see that Splendid Parts lists Manta A front jack points on their site. Anyone have a right side NOS jack point or know a source to pick one up at? Thanks, Gordy
I will be taking my 1975 Manta down to the body shop soon. It's got a couple of issues that need to be addressed and then will have it painted. Battery box area needs a little attention. I searched and it appears there is no replacement or even a good patch metal offered for the Manta battery box....
Picked up a 1974 Opel Manta for my son who will be driving soon. Having some title issues though. Hope it does not turn into a parts car. Would like to get it running for him before he starts to drive.
We've recently begun a restoration of a 1974 Opel Manta, and are at a point where we can make molds of the body parts. So I'm here testing the waters to see if it would be worth our while to make any. Does any one have, or know of anyone who has the need for Opel Manta A body parts?

Greetings from Denmark... I have a few Manta related questions I hope you could give me an answer to. I've been told some US versions of the Manta A had red/red taillight lenses for the brake/turning taillight, instead of the normal red/orange types. Is this true? Also, were all US engines...
In Rainer's latest email newsletter on Manta/Ascona A's item #6 the translation using google translator that I use to read them came up a bit confusing. It would seem to be that a new front sway bar will be available that might clear the OGTS's headers for GT's when installed on Mantas/Asconas....
I am looking at purchasing a Manta. They say it is a 75 but a few things aren't adding up. It has the four spoke sport wheels. It also has the gauge pod under the dash. It is blue in color and the sides of the seats are blue. Does this sound like a 75?
I thought this has been discussed before, but I couldn't find it with the search function. I'm finally painting my racecar, and have decided I want to put the rally stripe down the side, anyone have any good pictures? I had a bunch, but they are all on my old computer. Thanks, Dave
Question.... I've never had too much experience working on Opels with automatic transmissions. I'm going to pull the engine on my 1975 Manta with automatic transmission to install 2.0 pistons and wonder if the trans needs to come out with the engine as well or can the trans be left in the car?? I...
Lately on the 74 Manta the alternator idiot light will glow, or sometimes come on full blast. When it does the fuel gauge starts going towards empty. A good bump or two seems to quiet it down. When it does happen, there is no indication of a loss of electrical power - lights don't dim,...
Does anyone know a source for or have some of these retainers that the chrome strip along a Manta's rocker panel attaches to? I found out how to remove the smaller ones around the wheel well openings, but don't think I will be able to remove these larger ones for the chrome strip from the little...
Does anyone know of a source or suitable replacements for the OEM hood bumpers? OGTS no longer has them for Mantas and says the ones for GT's are too short. Thanks in advance.
Well, actually it's not missing. I know where I left it, but by the time I got back to the gas station, it was gone. Must be a hot market for used gas caps that don't fit modern cars. Anyway, if I don't find one tomorrow, it's going to be REALLY difficult to drive to Springfield on Friday. ...
I am wondering if any of the Opel Manta owners would be interested in a newly reproduced carpet kit? I now have the templete to make them so if there is enough interest I will reproduce this kit for the Opel Manta and 1900 owners. Please email Opel Jim @ usaopel@usa.com If enough people...
Anyone know how to remove one of these? Mine is missing the big, black knob and I know a guy that has one, but we can't figure out how to get it off from the seat.
i found this car last week and fetch it last weekend. it still drives and handles nicely, but like all old cars it needs work!
We have 1 new factory tint US made windshield on Ebay. Check out item#270723244084 under prosourceglass. It is perfect for someone in the Northeast to save on freight. this can be shipped anywhere. It is a nice windshield just in time for the warm weather.
So I figured I should start a build thread about my newly acquired 74 Manta Rallye. I am sure most of you saw my intro thread so I will skip that stuff. I need to get some pics of my interior as I just finished fitting seats from a 200sx and a steering wheel I have had around for a while. ...
