Unanswered: Dr Manta

Has anyone done business with Dr Manta and have you actually been able to figure out how to do a "bank transfer"? My bank had no clue. Thanks, Gordy

I would say you are talking to the wrong person at the bank. If none, then you have the wrong bank. My teller knew how to get it done when I purchased overseas. I cant imagine no one at the bank knows how to accomplish it..

I purchased the Targa from Malcolm in the UK .. the money was transferred into his account using the same bank ... I'm Not sure how a "bank transfer " differs from what I did which was to transfer from my HSBC account to his and changing it from $ to pounds

Dr. Manta

I have done business with Wolfgang for some time. If you need to execute a bank transfer, you will need his bank information. Typically, this is an Interbank number or a SWIFT number, physical address of the branch, his account number and the titling of his account.

Your bank should have a form for you to complete to accomplish this. The charge for an international wire transfer like this is typically $50-55 USD. You will also loose about 3-4% in the transfer on the receiving bank end as a transaction fee, so be certain to include an additional amount in the payment, or agree on that up front with Wolfgang.

Good luck,

Dave

I too have done business with Dr Manta, ordering the parts was the easy part. Getting the bank transfer using euros was easy from Dallas. Not understanding the bank fee system in Germany was a pain to deal with. If you use some one like BofA here in the states they have a German branch to handle the transfer is a good thing. The fee David mentioned is what the Local bank for Wolfgang charges to do business with the Bof A branch Germany. No way around this and it is a percentage of the total purchase. Ron

I have done business with him a couple of times as well, and I had some initial difficulties with the bank transfer, but eventually figured it out.
The issue was that I had to send the payment to a different bank, his bank being a subordinate of that bank, or something like that.. I have the details if anyone needs it, had to write to the bank in german to figure it out
(My bank initially rejected the SWIFT transfer).
