Unanswered: What engine in this Manta Ralley
What engine is this? Is it a 1100 or something different?

That looks like a CIH engine with the rare Group 2 (?) cross-flow cylinder head

Yes, that is a crossflow headed engine. Looks like it is a serious contender with that 4 into 2 header and those side drafts. I would be willing to bet that the pistons have some knots on top along with some large valves and a pretty healthy camshaft. That is a nice one and someone is lucky to have it.

That engine is in the Manta racer from Opel Museum collection in Russelsheim, Germany.
