Unanswered: UK Luxus: Limited Edition
It was a 74 Luxus that was my first Opel, and I have another of the run of 400 stashed in my shed waiting to be rebuilt. Anyway, I thought it would be nice to share this brochure...enjoy...

Seems like the picture was broken, So I fixed it.. makes the text hard to read though :P and seems the gas tank neck is on the wrong side now..
Can we assume your Luxus is broken like your Broadspeed Manta and someone put the steering wheel on the wrong side ![]() They look funny with a mirror on the "Passenger side" and not the "Driver side".. Seriously though... when was a drivers mirror an "extra feature" on any car? Was that Optional on cars over there?

So, why am I telling you this? It was a hard lesson learned, so because I know I don't back up my information very well (understatement). I now subscribe to an online automatic back up service. It backs up my computer information for me and puts it out there is a "secure" cyberaccount. If my computer decides to act up again, I just sign on to my account and download my stuff. I use Carbonite (carbonite.com) and it was about $50 for a year. HTH Vickie

I actually use two hard drives. A system drive and my files drive. Saved my butt a few times already.

Well I got the files from the data recovery guys....they managed to recover most of my hard drive, albeit just the files and no description, just a number....so now I have a mere 500+ word files and 16,000+ jpegs to try and refile into some semblence of order....
I may be quiet for a while....

AHHH!!! I hate when I lose hard drives. Now I use a full Raid system to back up my, let see . . . 1.749 Tera bytes of info on my 'puter.
Who needs an online backup when your Dad is the network dude of place with a massive digital storage center (The National Gallery of Art has a digital copy of every piece in its collection, which I think is in the high hundreds of thousands).Good luck repairing your files though, I know how annoying it can be. But it can be a blessing in disguise. Think about it, how long has it been since you looked at 15,875 of those photos, EH?

If something works, I don't replace it. You people who have to have the latest gizmos and new fangled this and that just amaze me.
