Intake Threaded Hole Size?

There are two threaded holes under the carburetor on the intake manifold. One is for a vacuum line and the other is for the return of exhaust fumes from the exhaust pipe. (My GT is a 73) I am trying to find out what size pipe thread the lower hole from the exhaust pipe is because I am going to plug it. I have figured out that it is obviously metric and somewhere in the range of a 1/4" pipe thread. I am assuming this is a tapered pipe thread.
Does anyone have any thoughts on the size thread and if they have ever plugged this hole? Thanks.
