Question GM "Chassis Black" . . .

With the prices of "rattle can" paint lately, what is the closest "rattle can" paint color to what GM refers to as their "chassis black" . . . you know, paint they use on A-arms, front suspension, GT engine cradle, air cleaners, GT snorkel, Kadett sheet metal valve cover, transmission support, etc., etc. ??

It's not "flat black" or "semi-gloss black" or "gloss black" or "high-heat black" . . . have tried all and they dry either too shiny or too flat, though the "high-heat black" comes close, but dries a bit too flat.

If you know of/have used a good one, post color number, name and maker here please . . .

Have had good results with Eastwood's original chassis black, although a little steep at $15 a can. Available in satin and gloss finish (I prefer the satin). Latest catalog is 10% thru june 30th...

That should read 10% off thru june 30th. Part number for satin is 10025z (60-70% gloss) . Three or more cans are at $14.50 before the 10% off..
