Since all the cables are off the car, hang them up by one end, in an area where you can make a mess and not worry too much about it, or hang them over a bucket or pile of rags and shoot penetrating oil in the top end and let them soak through. PB Blaster, WD40, Liquid Wrench, etc, would do the trick, it will just take a little time to let the oil soak through.

opel gt headlight cable
I have a headlight cable up for bid on ebay right now. 2 days left on bidding. No bids yet. starting bid is 19.99. This cable is working. It has a little stickiness but can be worked out. These cables do go bad so you may consider this one if you can't get them working.
