Another Strange Noise

When motor is running, there is a noise coming from the engine compartment, and I place it close to the front/left. (Dist shaft? Water Pump?) It literally sounds like Tink Tink Tink.... and will change frequency with the RPM of the motor, and it is not constant. At first I thought it might be related to the Clutch being engaged, but I hear it when the clutch is in or out sometimes. It can come and go too.

Probably hard for all of you to give good advice not hearing it yourself, but I figure it is worth a shot to ask. I have a feeling it is probably something worse, like Engine internals. Car still runs fine when I am hearing it, no different as the odd times I do not hear it.

Thanks, Mark

I had the same noise, mine was the alternator hitting it's bracket.

Well...

That is the area the sound is in... I will have a look tonight. I hope that's all it is.

Thanks
