Mmm! Gary, I hope you didn't have to go with the EVO's because you needed the extra width? Just thinking ...

LOL. The EVO's would not fit in the GT. The Solstice/Sky's did.

Kinda looks that way. I didn't get to take pics before I took them apart but here's something similar.

BTW, they came with speakers, a mic, 3 fuse blocks, and an official cop console light.

    Progress:

The battery is now located behind the passenger seat. Not sure what the 6 cyl starters current draw is so I'm trying out a 150 amp fuse for now.

Seats are in, and out, and in as I work on the console.

I need to make gaskets for the access plates for the clutch slave cylinder and shifter linkage on the tranny tunnel and one for the shifter boot.

Current console plans are for a 3 gauge pod, toggle switches, radio, cup holders in front of the shifter and an arm rest after it.

Here's a pic of the battery box and some early console work.

There's a "360" switch (for doing donuts?) and a "Takedown" switch.

Stupid site wouldn't let me upload the pics. Then it made them sideways. Just rotate your monitor 90* Gordo!

Bad placement of cup holders vs. the switches - with cups in place, the switches are covered up!

That is only temporary Adolf. It will be gauges, switches (only 2 or 3), radio, then cup holder.

    Console update. Rev. 7.
First pic shows the fuse blocks.
Second is the current setup with the satellite radio holder.
Third is the initial layout for the arm rest.

Waiting for some parts to come in for hooking up Bluetooth. Once that is in, I'll take it all apart for painting and final trim and alignment

Anyone have ideas for front speakers/speaker locations? (Scary that I'm that far along!)

    One step closer!

While waiting for the paint to dry on the console, I decided to hook up the reservoir for the hydraulic clutch. Filled and bled the system and the master cylinder would not respond. Not surprising as it had not been used in several years. Rebuild kits are not available and new ones cost ~$200 in Europe. I took it apart, polished out a rust ring in the cylinder and cleaned the seals then soaked them in brake fluid overnight.

Put it back together installed it today. It worked! I'll have to wait until it runs to see if the clutch fully disengages. There is no adjustment for the pedal travel, so I may have to massage the floor a little more if there is a problem.
