Hi Harold, how goes it? Long Hot Summer here. All the Tobacco was in last Tues before the Frost. The guy I help got done Sunday at 5:13 They had 6 trailers left to pull (rack Barns). I work the box barns. Got burned out on the Gt, so I did another project for the summer. A 1988 Saab spg. All that's left is brakes and maybe a right front wheel bearing. Take care, drop me a line when you get a chance Jarrell

Hi Harold, I am in need of a lower, u-shaped, radiator hose for my '74 1900, any ideas where I might find one? Opel GT Source and Unlimited did not render one? Thanks, Don.
Hi Harold. These seats you are getting are out of my current 1975 Manta and yes they don't tilt. But my 1975 Ascona I raced in SCCA showroom stock back in the day
had the same non-tilting head rests. Could the tilting head rests be a running change for the 1975's?
I've never seen the tilting type on a 1975 btw.
Mark
Hi Harold, How are you? I am Don Steoger who sold you the '75 yellow Sportwagon in 2011. Do you still have this car? Recently purchased a '74 1900 2 dr sedan from Minnesota. Had lunch with Mark Paar yesterday, and he determined it has been a prior race car; probably showroom stock sedan from '74 & '75? I was wondering if you had plans for the seats he has promised for you or if I could acquire them for my '75 resto? Hoping to meet you in Illinois this September! -Don

I am unable to register as a new member. I am always told Thames I am a spammer. Using a friends info to enter. I have tried to contact the administrator but get no response. I've tried 20 or 30 times. Anyone out there who can help me? My email is beetles1951@att.net. Thank you.
I believe the brakes were good when parked but Stubby had been parked for awhile. I'd try bleeding them and I'd also check out the rear wheel cylinders for leaks. I think the rubber brake lines were replaced sometime during my original ownership before he acquired the new moniker of 'Stubby'. LOL
Hi Harold,
Just stopped by to let you know that Stubby is running now and that our next project for him is brakes and his body panels that need to be fixed. Do you by any chance remember if stubby had brakes when you got him back or that they just need to be bled and have brake fluid added?
Don, Sorry to have overlooked your question. Most things on this website allow you a time period to edit your own posts. After a certain time period a moderator has to do it. I haven't had much experience with the photo gallery but I can tell you that there is a place you can manage images and delete them yourself without a moderator having to do it. If you don't find it I'll go back in and try to locate it so that I can give you a better idea where to look. HTH, Moderator Harold
Harold...got a question to ask you about the webcite......how do I delete pictures in "my photo" album...made some mistakes and have some duplicates....I must be computer stupid or it is not possible for the individual.....can you at least direct me....others seem to lean on you a lot as I have noticed, and I thought you might be a moderator ?????
I havent done a compression check yet. The oil pressure droped the moment it first started but it came back up when i got it home. I will check everything i can and do a compression check and get back with you and go from there thanks for your help.
Keith L. told me you had contacted him with problems. No oil pressure problems and still runs and idles well? Hmmm, Without being there, I would hope it is external and start looking for anything & everything that could cause the noise. Check eng. & trans. mounts, exhaust mounts, fan shroud(not likely), etc. Have you done a compression check yet? HC
Hey harold its travis i havent been on here in awhile and i have lost your number. My opel is having issues again it ran great after I put a new head on it. But it started knocking one day it still runs real smooth and has good oil pressure.Sometimes it does'nt knock at all it has confused me a great deal since it started. Any idea what could be wrong with it?
