Faces
Steve, Thanks for organizing today's get together. In addition to seeing some cars to motivate me, it was also good to be able to put faces to the screen names. Hopefully this summer I'll have a car that looks more like an Opel than a Cherokee.
Regards, Lonnie |

Yep, I just uploaded mine and they will take a bit to get Moderator approval. I didn't realize until we left that we should have gotten some pictures up in the pavillion with everyone together. I didn't get any pictures of Mike while he was there, or the grill full of food, or the pie. My wife was so bummed she missed the apple pie, that I had to take her out for some before the Pistons game!
Great pictures, Chris. Last edited by asdasc; 04-23-2006 at 11:36 PM.. |

YAR! definitive proof. yeah... that freakin battery post was all phooey but its happy now. My weekend was crazy... at best... saturday i'm out cleaning the car, drove to a friends house to print out a map, no one's htere, so i start armorallin the car. yay. anyways my lady friend showsup and says 'i'm going to novi. wanna go?' and ... well. yeah. lol. Geek a thon. seriously. a convention full of geeks... i'm not innocence, but some of that stuff was off the wall. i spent a lot of time there playing drums, drinking homemade geek booze and wondering about the concept of sanity. anyways, up and at em sunday morning *complete with hangover* and head out to the gt. ... yup. dead. wonder that. 100 miles from home and not even a click! jump. start. yay. continue to sterling heights. (leaves a small saga unsaid there). i get there. 2 other GTs - cool and steve's. they made a comment about my cornering technique. apparnetly i came in pretty hot. *shrugs* normal for me. park the car... turn it off. as an after thought, try to start it. hah. so then my joys continue as i bum a pair of pliers from cool and attack the GT with a passion. just about 5 minutes after the rain started, i had a good connection again, she started, i win, and get brat... regrettably... i have to be back in NOVI to pick up same said lady friend to go back lansing in a little under an hour... so. grabbed the pirate hat, had a brat said my partings and yes. i spun out leaving. had to. seriously. you can't see JAcK off that driveway and so i just put it out into traffic hard and life goes on. usually. i saw all you lookin at me tho when i left! hahahaha. |

Pb Blaster is to opelitus what brown paper bags are to alcoholics. neither really cure the ill, just make it easier to pretend its not so bad.

Glad you made it home safe! Good road trip!
It was nice meeting you, and hope to see you all again. Maybe we should do Mason in July? It would be nice to get a large group from all over the state. We had 6 today, and could think of a few more, so we should be able to get a big group together out near Lansing. Thanks again for coming! |
