RallyBob will become famous soon enough
The seminar won't be happening for the reason mentioned previously, but there's always the chance for a casual get-together. The tough part seems to be finding a centralized meeting place.

If the meeting is in CT, MA, RI, count me in. As for topics, anything would help me. Carb or timing or suspension, whatever. What date were you thinking of?

No plans for anything. The seminar was cancelled last year due to lack of a suitable site to hold it. I wanted to have it at my father's place of business, but liability issues reared up and that was out.

As far as a casual get-together, we go through this every year. A few ideas are thrown out there, but no one can commit to anything, so it gets forgotten. This was the last year I was going to recommend the Vintage Fall Festival at Lime Rock as well, I've tried to get other Opel people to show up for the past 3-4 years, but I've always been the only one that goes! So I'm done here, I'm not going to try to put something together from this point on. It looks like the northeast only has room for Carlisle and Opels on the Lawn.

I would love to go to Lime Rock but it looks like family committments will not allow it. I'll bump the thread for it.

porting cylinder heads sound good

But in a controlled environment with a smaller group, I think I can maybe handle it. If this were to take place, how many people might be interested, and what subjects would want to be discussed and shown. Maybe porting cylinder heads, or porting intake manifolds, or building headers, or doing rust repair, or rebuilding a Weber, or a little bit of each. Or???

Bob
porting heads i know alot of people who could use this on thier brains.

Weber rebuild

I could also bring my Weber 32/36 DGEV and we could have a grand ol' time rebuilding it.

Hmm, I see a trend lately with people revisiting old (dead) threads. Perhaps the dates need to be highlighted in a bold font. I realize it's 'new' to the newbies, but many of these threads haven't been visited for 1 or 2 years.

C'mon!

Now you know you want to do it, Bob!

Hell! - It is your DUTY

Around the back of the shed, in mid-winter ..... with a free BBQ

Ooops! .... and some of us would still turn up - even without the BBQ.
