March 17 will be our second anniversary since switching to vBulletin as our forum program. Since that change, we have grown to almost 6,000 members, a good solid active member group with close to 46,000 posts and 6,200,000 page visits!

In keeping up with the latest versions of the programs, I spent several hours last night (and who knows how long today) upgrading the Forum, Articles, and Garage programs and am now in the process of upgrading the Photo Gallery to a new version that has lots of new features. Backing up the Gallery is a huge task. The data directory alone is over 500 MEG (10,800 files). Hopefully the upgrade will go smoothly and I won't need to use the backup.

The articles program is still in Beta and I am hopeful that the final version will support .DOC (Word), .PDF, and .SWF files.

Gary, I reloaded Phase I of the V-6/T-5 swap in the Articles Section, no problem. But when I tried to load Phase II, I get the message "cannot find phrase---Invalid file". Understand it's still in Beta, but kinda curious why I could load Phase I and not Phase II, they're both "Word Docs" with .jpg attachments.

Bummer, the doggone text on Phase II came up, but the pics I attached are missing. Any way to be able to edit the Articles, I need to put some pics of the drawings and the final mod to the subframes. Need help!

The exact same thing happened to me, Ron, as I was trying to finish up the article about building Speedway GT. Never have been able to fix it and get the pictures in the right order, the picture of the pedals were lost in cyber space... I'm sure the bugs will take some time to get worked out, we are all very patient people...

The current version of the article program does not allow for editing by author. Hopefully it will happen in a future release. I have voiced our needs for PDF, SWF and DOC uploads. Currently it only takes text files and the photos are uploaded into a folder and then html coded into the text.

The "cannot find phrase---Invalid file" error message is the Forum program saying the term for "invalid file" in the Article program is not available. Phrases are used throughout for ease of language translation. In this case, the program was telling you that you uploaded an "Invalid File" (Word doc)

@Ron - Email me the photos along with where they go. (Pic 1 goes after XXX text)

@Jeff - Same thing and resend the pedal pic.

Can't promise when they will get edited, but if I have the pics it will be much easier.

Can you add the "New Posts" Link in the menu bar? They have it on a bunch of other Message boards I frequent that use VB. Its really handy because it shows you all the threads that have changed since the last time you visited.

However two Mustangs, a Pinto, and a Capri were hospitalized. One Mustang was euthanized the next morning.
