Ohc ??
Most of us on this site run the old Cam-In-Head Opel motor built from 1965-85 ish.
Are you talking about this motor (2.0Litre 95mm bore X 69.7mm stoke) or the later Over-Head-Cam motor (2.0Litre 86mm X 86mm) like the one used in Opel Vectras fron 1987 - 2000 ??

Look at a thread called "Connecting Rod FAQ" for a good start. You can PM me for a description of my rods and crank and bearings, it is not public information though...
Pistons are available to work with these rods. Oilpans can easily be built from scratch, mine is deep and has right side kickout and vertical scraper and a screen and external pickup and an access plate under the pickup. It's pretty trick, but really simple. Unfortunately you used the word "cheap" and that just isn't going to work. Sorry. But we'll do the best we can to help you within the budget!

the 2.0 OHC (86x86mm) has a relatively low rod ratio of 1.663 but piston cd is already 30.5mm so there is not a lot of room to accomodate much longer rods. maybe you can make custom forged pistons with cd 26.5mm then you need 147mm long rods but I don't have cheap suggestion for that length, and rod ratio would only be slightly better (1.71) HTH, Hiro |
