Unanswered: 1.9S engine upgrade
Till how much horse power can you upgrade without any problems the default 1.9S in the Opel GT ? Someone told me recently 2.4. Is this true ? I don't want to make too much expenses, just want to know till how far i can go. Thanks a lot, Bye Torito |

Start reading the performance and upgrade section of this site and you will be busy for quite a while.

Well I believe your driving style will be the most important factor.
You should be able to crack the 100 + hp range with your 69 without major problems. Mild porting of the head, you should have flat top pistons already, different carb, intake mods. Now I don't have real hard number for you but a range. Starting around the 115(true)hp and an aggressive driving style parts will start breaking. Just my opinion too many variables to take into account. Happy reading. |
