From the 1985 Paeco catalog, the 6500 cam is the mid performance cam of the three that they offered. (the 6000, 6500 and 7000). Their description of the 6500 is as follows:

"OP-6500. For slaloms and heavy street use. This grind gives tremendous acceleration and a very nice boost in top speed. Best power range is 3200-6500 RPM and it will rev to 7300.
INT: 27/63, EXH:67/23, Duration 270, Lift .435".

Necessary mods: 10-11:1 compresion, full Paeco valve train, extractor exhaust header, racing ignition, weber carbs. A modified cylinder head and a primaflow exhaust system will give even more power, but are not mandatory. You must use solid lifters with these cams."

The cam cost $120(exchange) in 1985 and a new header was $120.
A new Weber DGEV 32/36 cost $225 and new DCOE 40's and 45's were $240. Eat your heart out!
Hope this helps.
Bob
