Answered: Opel Vectra C20NE-Turbo conversion
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y19...8042009197.jpg All the fun went out the door when I moved the throttle bodies & ported head to my GT, so the longing for more power got me to purchase a turbo kit for my car... Before (163 bhp @ the front wheels): http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y19...a/P1010302.jpg The kit cost me 1600$ and consisted of: 1. TD40\T25 turbo. 2. Intercooler. 3. Oil supply hose. 4. Downpipe. 5. New injectors. 6. Manifold. 7. Dump Valve. http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y19...w/IMG_1499.jpg In addition, I've ordered 1100$ worth of accessories.. 1. Silicone hoses. 2. Y pipe for the Dump valve. 3. 3" rust free pipes for the exhaust 4. 2.5" & 3" pipes. 5. Boost controller. 6. Pressure gauge. 7. Copper lock nuts. 8. Gaskets for the turbo. 9. Oil return flange for the turbo. I've just started to fit the kit, still waiting for the pipes & hoses... I will update this post as I go along... I expect roughly 180 bhp @ 0.5 bar...

Looks good! We have Vectras in new Zealand too - even a few factory turbo ones. I have a 1987 Ascona with the 2.0i SEH 130 bhp motor http://www.opelgt.com/photopost/show...php/photo/8111 Now 163 bhp before - 180 bhp after $2,700 spent Equals $159 per horsepower! |

Don't forget that the Before pic includes: 1. 4-1 headers 2. Dbilas Throttlebodies. 3. Ported head @ CNC Heads - HOME 4. Rally type camshaft That produced 163 bhp at the wheels. Now, I don't have the stuff listed above, as it's been fitted to my Opel GT in stead(well, not the headers, but I guess you got that)... Most of the parts ended up here: http://www.opelgt.com/forums/members...pets-place.jpg The engine I'm turbo converting is stock, except for the engine management, which is Motronic 1.5.2 vs stock which is Motronic 1.5.... Difference is that I've now got a Mass Air Flow sensor, vs the stock Air flow Sensor. (old uses a flap, new uses thin wires.) Of course, the fuel system is upped with a new fuel pressure regulator, and a high volume/pressure pierburg pump.. 115 bhp stock, vs 180 bhp turboed.. = 41$ per hp.. But, remember that the engine internals is stock, so after the 2mm reinforced head gasket + new forged pistons & con rods is in, I'll hopefully be pushing 250 bhp.. I'd also like a broadband lambda a exhaust gas temp meter, and a knock indicator before I turn up the boost... I've seen stock C20NE's benching 200 bhp @ 0.8 bar in England, but since this engine's got 420 000 km on it.. I'm not going to push my luck... The boost will come with forged innards....

I started to fit a new oil cooler today, one of the hoses where 10 cm to short..
Also took down the oil pan, decided to weld the oil return flange right into the oil pan.. Removed one of the servo hoses as well.. Gonna take it down to Tess, a local pipes\hoses store, and redo the servo hose, with a 45 degree bend, and make a longer oil cooler hose... Pics come tomorrow...
