I happened to drop in at the Sacramento Auto Museum (or whatever it is called now, formerly the Towe Auto Museum) to ask direction, and as I usually do these day chatted up our Opel GT project, and instantly there was real interest in Opel GTs from most of the people there. I suggested putting our car on display there, thinking at the same time that other NorCal folks might be willing to loan their more pristine cars to the museum for a time.
So, sometime after Monterey, does anyone what to do this?
I am a docent at the CAM I was elected docent of the year in 2006. The museum has a section that they use to feature local car clubs and show off the cars. It would be exciting to put our cars on display for a period of time. It would need to be in the winter time as our cars are to much fun to drive to have them just sitting around. I live a long ways from the museum but would be interested if anyone would like to set it up.
That sounds very interesting. Although I drive my GT occasionally in the cold months, it would be nice to have it on display. Is there a minimum the car has to be there? I might not survive more than 4 months without ...
Hey Mike, do we have an update on this, getting cold and wet?
Btw, I will have my GT on display at the Sacramento International Autoshow Sacramento International Auto Show | Home
Car will be part of the "Rare Exotics and Collector Vehicles", and will be shown from Thursday through Sunday next week.
