Harrisburg is the closest (approx 30 min. by car to Carlisle). There are regular flights from Detroit, Toronto, Chicago and Atlanta.
Or you can fly to Washington, Baltimore or Philadelphia (approx. 2 hours by car to Carlisle).
I tried all of those combinations when I worked in Shippensburg near Carlisle. I prefer Harrisburg which is small, well organized airport and not crowded.
Old racers never die. They just go bench racing.

I decided to too. Was going to wait but registering now puts more pressure on me to make the long trip not to mention saving the $8.

I figured I'd go for the whole ball of wax this year and registered for the judged showfield.

And I registered at the hotel for 3 nights, Thursday through Saturday, 19th-21st.

Let's hope they judge more based on good execution than good taste!

Ha! They won't need to take it apart that far to find the flaws!

I have no chance of winning the big one, but at least I can go to the nursing home knowing that I tried one time!

Yeah, that's pretty much why I registered yesterday too. I'm too cheap, er, I mean thrifty, to throw away the $32 by not going.

Are there any plans for tee shirts for the Nationals? My suggestion would be yellow with black and a little red. Brad's car colors.

Yep working on them now.. and going to have all the proceeds go to his family.

I was actually thinking of doing something like the yellow/red as a special commemorative version, along with the traditional ones in Black ( I'm out of work shirts.. )

    No Carlisle parts thread?

I've searched and there doesn't appear to be a Carlisle parts thread for this year. Am I wrong?
