Same here...just made my reservation with Melanie. Something tells me she's going to be a busy girl for the next day or two.

Hey Rob,
How about we figure out an amount based on the average number of people that used the room last year. Each person could give that amount and anything left over could go to Gary for the site. For example: figure $150 for the two nights, if everyone gave $5 with an average of 75 people (I think that's realistic) it would pay for the room and give Gary $225 toward site expenses. That's a good value for everyone. Where else can you go drink and have fun all night for a $2.50 cover charge? Let me know your thoughts.

That works for me Big Boy...
I guess a responsible adult with a collection tin and a handstamp would work...I can find a handstamp, but I'm struggling with the responsible adult...

Count me in. I left a message for Melanie at the hotel and will register next. I'll kick in whatever is needed, just don't count on me as a responsible adult.

I was also thinking about the hand stamp thing. Just a suggestion, how 'bout we collect and stamp at the show field under the tent, or perhaps at dinner, instead of at the conference room door? There is always someone at the tent doing the greetings and such, so that way it would allow everyone at the conference room to relax and enjoy themselves rather than having someone sit by the door and miss out on the fun. Just an idea that we can continue to modify as needed.

Here is my definition of a responsible adult. If you don't spill your beer, then you are responsible. Hmmmmmmmm, I guess most of us don't qualify Let's keep looking.

I'm going to reserve a room tomorrow, hopefully I will have an opel with me this year....it would be the first year attending the import show in something without a blitz on the hood. Just a rebuilt front suspension, stand alone efi and ignition set up, and many odds and ends may be holding me back. Not a ton of stuff, but it seems it working full time, being a full time college student, and trying to maintain somewhat of a social life.

No worries about the room, I will take care of it. Between donations and t-shirts I am sure it will get taken care of.

Now the debate.. take the Black Manta or the Kadett ... Hmm...

I have my room reserved and like Charles, the debate is on... Wagon, Olympia or GT? (It's been 10 years since the GT was at Carlisle)

. . . driving or trailering? Olympia, if driving! I like the 'old' stuff . . . and, of course, driving!

Two more rooms gone....

We booked two of the rooms. We will use one for sure and hold on to the other one to see if any of our "volunteer drivers" actually make it this year. If they cannot go, we will release the room in plenty of time for any of you last minute Opelers to pick it up.

Now, on to the yearly debate....do we take this car? no, no. let's take this one...

It is easier to decide on the adult beverages!
