Cool. I've always considered the 2002 as the car that truly opened up the United States to BMW. See you Saturday.

That's because you have such great weather. We only have so many good days and we need that time to work on them. So, on rainy or cold days we can't work on them, all we can do is drive. You guys are lucky, you can work on them all year-round!

If anyone misses the run tomorrow, but would like to meet up later to chat/meet/look at cars we should be getting back to the Blue Frog Micro Brewery between noon and noon-thirty.

Just follow the same directions as getting to Mimi's Cafe, but drive the 1/2 block or so further west on Courtyard.

This restaurant is located between the freeway and the mall. And the mall is visible from the freeway.
  • From I-80, take Travis Blvd (Not Texas Blvd) east 1300 feet to,
  • North on Gateway Blvd 500 feet to,
  • West on The Courtyard. Blue Frog is situated towards the Courtyard deadend.

Good drive. Short, but we had plenty of time to chat and check out each others' cars. That Targa is very impressive. The BMW is looking good. Very nicely done.

OK, here's the plan.

Drive up I-80, I-5 or Hwy 99 to Sacramento. Then get onto I-80 to Reno. Take the Watt Ave exit and we will meet at Denny's. Show up by 9am if you want to eat. We will be leaving at 10am. Then we will take 80 to Auburn, fill up, and run down Hwy 49. We will travel down 49 to Sonora and have the BBQ when we get there. Dennis and Gil may be joining us half way. Gil said he will provide the heat and the sodas. Just bring your own meat. If you want salad or other sides, there is a local store close by or bring your own in a cooler.

So who's game?

PS theres a Starbucks by the Denny's too.
