If the camshaft was larger than stock, then the peak hp and torque numbers will generally occur at a higher rpm level.

Thats what I remember as well.. now it could have a stock cam and bigger valves. If the machinist that did the motor knew how to modify AMC pistons to fit the Opel block, its not a big jump to think he could have figured out how to modify the hwad with Chevy Valves..
I am sure sooner than later it will need a head gasket and when it does then I can finally know for sure
Since Ben has already had to replace the starter, adn the clutch replacement isnt too far in the future. I had a new clutch, but figured I would let him destroy the one in the car first and then put a new one in once he got past the "learning curve".
