Actually, it's more of a hassle waiting for those who don't get the "clue" about finishing their cell phone calls in time to grab a bucket or two and get their stuff laid out, then you have the ones that want to wear a ton of jewelery. Wear slip-on shoes too, easier and faster to take off and put back on.

I just bought a new 7.1 Megapixel Canon Elph specifically for the trip. I've got 3 gig of memory which is about 1500 pix at full resolution. I am going to leave my video camera at home, I don't like lugging it around. The Elph is about the same size as my cell phone. No laptop here, traveling light as possible. I have two converters, one two prong and one three prong (with ground). All I will need are my camera, cell phone, iPod and possibly my razor. My cell plan works over there, but at $0.99/min, don't plan on using it much if at all.

I plan to drive to Stuttgart with the attached dark GT (because of the air) .
My "missis" (if she comes along) and her sister, will take our stratos blue non a/c one.
Keep the license plate in mind.

From what I see, the temps are in the low 70's (fahrenheit).

Just a reminder for those visiting Germany for the Opel meet: It is a long weekend (Pentecost - Pfingsten) and traffic will be heavy. Allow yourself plenty of time!

Sitting in Stuttgart at the Holiday Inn Express. I saw Rodney and Marty at the Airport car rental desk. They must have been on the same flight and we did not even know it. Connie and I have been wondering around looking for the event site and the place we will be at the next few nights. I think Rodney , Gil , Marty , Dennis and our selves will be there. I know I have pissed off a few German drivers already. Damm near got wiped out coming out of the rental lot. Been a few years since I drove a stick , Clutch may show some wear after this. Weather is great , ready to get the party started. A week in Germany, I hope I live to tell the tale.

This is another Americian who is still in frankfurt an will return to usa tomarrow (to ogts) and then back to colorado. Opel mecca doesnt even come close to the experience. These events (and I have been to many) are out of this world experiences does not even compare to a your normal USA car show. I have met with Gary Lenk (fiberglass parts), ErharUt Schnell (please some correct if miss spelled), and many other great people of the opel Mecca.

All I can say is Great Time, Good food, Good beer, and WONDERFUL people

All you opel people need to attend one of these sometime in your life and stop the "maybe next year" make it happen!! its something you will never regret
