2008 Nationals Hotel!

I have signed the contract for the "Hampton Inn Charlotte - University Place" that we will be using for the 2008 Opel Nationals in Charlotte, North Carolina. When you are ready, go ahead and make your reservations! The dates are September 12th and 13th, 2008 and we will check out on the 14th. Of course, if you want to come a day or so early, just give the hotel a call and I am sure they will accommodate you.

When making your reservations, tell the person that you are with the Opel Motorsports Club to get your discounted room rate of $99 a night. If they say they can not find that, give them the code COMC. The Hampton Inn has said that if you must cancel your room, you must do so at least 2 days prior to arrival otherwise you will be billed for one night's lodging plus occupancy tax. The reservation “cut off date” is August 13, 2008. This means, if there are some rooms that have been set aside for our club and not been reserved, then the extra rooms will go back into the general pool and anyone can reserve those rooms. So be sure to reserve your room before that date. I have set aside 30 rooms for our club.

The "Meeting Room" has been given to us for FREE each night! The usual hours are from 5 to 9 BUT they said if someone gets the room next to the "Meeting Room", then we can use the room as late as we want to! So if someone will request the adjacent room to the conference room, that would be great! It will not cost anymore to have that room. We will have the room from 6 PM on, Friday and Saturday nights!

Make your reservations as soon as possible to guarantee your room for the 2008 Opel Nationals! If you have any questions, please ask!

I will call tomorrow about mine. I think I want to stay Thursday night as well, get up and be all fresh and ready for tackling the autofair on Friday
