I plan to trailer to Knoxville TN and spend the night with my son and his wife. I will probably unload and drive from there. So is anyone going through the Knoxville TN area on Thursday the 4th so we can caravan? Good Opeling.

Anyone thru Knoxville?

Tom, Google Maps says I will. It looks like a good place for an overnight stop on the 4th for me.
Not sure I'll make it that far though. It'll depend on when I set off from Des Moines.
If you want to try to caravan from Knoxville, I'm game if I make it that far the first day out.
It sounds like you plan to leave Knoxville on the 4th though. Correct?

Right now, we have 30 Opels showing up. But 7 just registered in the last few days so the registrations are picking up. I think anything over 35 to 40 Opels would be great! With the way things are picking up, I think that is a good possibility.
Everyone who shows up with an opel, will walk off with something in their hands to show they where here at the 2008 Opel Nationals! If someone doesn't win one of the many trophies, you will still get something!

Roy,

Count me in for Charlotte. I made my hotel reservation for the 5th & 6th. I might even get Kerri to come along. I'm looking forward to it.

Great to hear you are coming!!! If you drive, are you going to drive an Opel? If you fly, are you going to fly an Opel?

Have you reserved your room at the hotel yet, Gary? You will need to before Monday, August 4th. The hotel releases any un-claimed rooms from our club back to the general public. It will be a crap shoot to get a room then. Rooms are hard to find during the AutoFair event.

Glad you are coming!

Just got the reservation. They tried pushing a higher rate and transferred me to their national reservations center where I got the $99.00 rate.

Driving will be either the wagon or the comfortable Senator.
