Carlisle 2008 Parts Thread

I thought a 2008 Carlsle Parts thread should be started. I have usually brought parts to sell in the Swap Meet section of Carlisle. This year decided to just bring my Opel GT.

If anybody needs parts they should list them here, and I'll start off, I could use a left headlight bucket in nice shape with no rust or dents.

Being there will be no co-op parts booth, at Carlisle this year, this would be the best way to get parts that you need.

See you all in Carlisle,PA and everyone please have a safe trip.

We could use a NICE GT shifter Shaft (just the chrome part). Or even better the actual getrag shifter shaft and knob

Looking for two GT doors and maybe a hood. The doors need to be low or no rust and straight. I'm not asking a lot am I?

Looking forward to my first Carlisle visit. Thanks

A can vouch for the quality of Pete's spoilers. I had one on my '75 wagon and now have one on my '72 wagon.

I have a spare GT shifter without the knob at the top. I'll bring it on Sat. If it meets your spec, it is all yours. It is pretty dirty right now. I'll clean it up before I bring it.

I am looking for any and all 1.1L parts. Specifically I am missing the radiator, radiator shroud, and dual carb setup (GT style). I would also like to find a set of pistons and a better engine cross mount than the rusty one that I have. But I am also looking to buy complete engines and transmissions.

I am looking for a complete rear end assembly for my ascona in good shape. I mean brake drum to brake drum(everything in between). 3.67 rear would be a plus.

Yes, the only thing up in the air is if I am going to drive my ga$$$ hog out there or my BMW. Depends on if anyone has any 1.1L parts to sell. It will already be $250 in gas to get there and back at todays prices (in the hog that is).

No Opel Parts Booth At Carlisle

Gene, If you got a good left headlight bucket and have room, would you bring it along to Carlisle with you. I could really use it. I should be there on friday.

To Everyone else, now is the time to "Post Your Parts Needs for Carlisle", as there will be "NO CO-OP Parts Booth anymore". I will bring some small parts, (and T-shirts to sell) that I can fit into my GT, and I would recommend other to do the same, If they want to, and we could have a small Opel Parts Swap Meet in the show field.

Everyone going have a very safe trip, and see you in Carlisle,PA

I'll bring the headlight bucket. I'm also going to use this moment to say that I'm bringing the "Can of Keys" for all those who wish to bring what extras they have to donate. Again, please don't throw out old Opel keys, I'm not talking about the uncut ones, those you keep, I'm talking about the already cut ones that you have gotten with part cars and such. Bring them and donate, you never know who it might help.

Manta Fuel Sender

I need a Manta fuel sender in *at least* rebuildable condition. I recently had a couple of tanks renewed, but the senders were corroded beyond hope.

Todd;
Do you need a 71-74 unit, or the F.I. 75 unit?

The way my tanks are modified, I can use either the '71-'74 or '75 sender.

Hey: I could really use front and rear window rubber/gaskets, as well as window and door rubber moulding; an interior in very good condition; inside door pull surround, and a new coat of paint (kiddding); plastic cover for seat leaning. Thanks.

Talking GT Rear Window needed

I need a rear window without defroster for my GT. I also need a good driver's door but I don't know how I would get it home since it won't fit inside my Rallye or my 911 (whichever one makes it). Unless someone wants to drop one off in Fredericksburg on your way back down south or on your way north?? YES, I will pay for it!!

This is to repair the massive tree dent in the roof.... SO with the tree dent, mailbox dent, and the cow dent, my poor GT justs wants to be repaired and on the road again. I miss driving it.

Talking Manta Carpet

Does anyone have a source for a new set of carpet for my 73 Manta Rallye? The leaking sunroof ruined the carpet but now I fixed that leak so it is time for carpet.
